Society is created by the religion/doctrine of the people. It is religion that defines the values of a nation. It is a myth that there can be religious freedom in a nation for religion or doctrine creates community values which direct the police powers of the state or nation. The question is whose religion, whose values, will control public authority. Additionally, when one religion is overcome by another religion, for example, as the Christian religion is overcome by the religion of atheism in America, the police powers of the state or nation changes direction.
George Washington called government a machine. This machine is the most dangerous instrument in the human community, a machine guided by community values. A machine that determines life and death, liberty or imprisonment, property and taxation, the definition of marriage, fines and penalties, and citizen’s rights and obligations. It is the duty of patriotic Americans to uphold Christian values in the public square in order to secure the right direction of the police powers of the nation and state. It is a sacred duty to uphold the Sabbath, a weekly public assembly, for reviewing the laws and of land and magistrates who execute them in order to control the machine called government.
Again, the values of the people direct the police powers of the state. If those values are changed then it redirects those police powers. The undermining of Christian values in the United State has put Christians at risk by the very laws that are to protect them. It is a duty for every patriotic American to uphold Christain values in Christian America. There can be no separation of Christian values and state for the former defines the later. jb

As the happiness of a people and the good order and preservation of civil government essentially depend upon piety, religion, and morality, and as these cannot be generally diffused through a community but by the institution of the public worship of God and of the public instructions in piety, religion, and morality: Therefore, To promote their happiness and to secure the good order and preservation of their government, the people of this commonwealth have a right to invest their legislature with power to authorize and require, and the legislature shall, from time to time, authorize and require, the several towns, parishes, precincts, and other bodies-politic or religious societies to make suitable provision, at their own expense, for the institution of the public worship of God and for the support and maintenance of public Protestant teachers of piety, religion, and morality in all cases where such provision shall not be made voluntarily.

Religion creates culture and from culture customs are defined and it is theses customs that give support to the laws of the state. Plato calls customs the rivets of society that uphold written law. A magistrate must be a citizen of the culture in order to effectively uphold the law of the land because his conscience is acting upon his convictions which are formed by the culture, and being part of the culture, he will support the local law. Again, he is a child of the culture, and because of this, he shares its values making him an supporter of its customs which underpin the laws. This is fruit of religion. In summery, religion creates the fabric which all institutions are erected upon. In contrast, if an alien to the religion of the community is given magisterial power, the power to act upon law, the alien will naturally suffer a conflict of conscience by an inherent set of countervailing principles and values because he is a child of a foreigner to religion and its product, culture and customs. According to his conscience, the alien will act out his convictions causing him to interpret even undermine the laws of his adopted community in order to fulfill the tenets of his faith. Suffering internal conflict of conscience, the alien is naturally at war with the culture that has adopted him and all his actions will work toward destabilizing the community he is adverse to thereby fermenting revolution. He is an insurrection, a vicious faction.
Evidence of this truth is found in America. America’s colonial founding fathers required a religious oath, a belief in God and Scripture, in order to gain access to offices of public trust. They wisely protected the culture by the election of magistrates who would uphold the customs, values, and therefore, the laws of the community because they shared the same religion with its unifying principles and tenets. Historically, this oath or the belief in God of the Bible continued in the states of the Union as a matter of right, although forsaken by some states and at the national level, until the 1960s, when a secularized Supreme Court struck down as unconstitutional Maryland’s religious oath requirement thereby removing the guard at the gate of civil authority and allowing the alien, a foreigner to Christian and Biblical values, unlimited access to public authority at the state level. The result is a cultural war, a national upheaval of ideas, the overthrow of values and moral standards, by a foreign insurrection against the long established culture. Currently, Christian America is fighting for its life and for its culture.as aggressive secular magistrates work feverishly to undermine the so called “antiquated” customs of Christianity in order to form a new culture based on a secular values.
The insurrection against civilization leading toward vicious barbarism is not just an American problem but global one. Nations everywhere are suffering from the rise of a new kind of evil which sacrifices public debate for political correctness, the marriage covenant for alternative lifestyles, and the sanctity of life for euthanasia, mercy killing, of prenatal “unwanted” infants, the handicap, and the elderly in the name of state efficiency and population control. The answer to the rise of this global terrorism in the name of “human rights” through the democratic process is a theocratic Republic that is founded upon the inalienable rights as granted by the Creator and upon a national moral rectitude as determined by the Supreme Judge (*See the Declaration of Independence) adjudicated according to the laws nature and nature’s God or as Blackstone writes,”equity following the law.” This is the true jurisprudence of civil society which supports fundamental rights and obligations. Additionally, public authority which directs the police and military powers of the state requires a religious oath in order to insure cultural integrity by faithful magistrates who share in the customs and values as that of the community. This means for the Christian community a religious oath is required that declares that God is Lord according to Scripture.
I would not believe opinion polls in America or in Canada. If I took a poll in my church, a 100 % would be opposed to adultery, homosexuality, and assisted suicide, and you would get the same result from every faithful Bible believing community. The reason is simple. Faithful Christians are required to stand upon the law of Moses as an immutable law, yesterday, today and tomorrow, making the Christian community the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. When you hear and see the establishment of so-called human rights, it is normally done by the dissolution of those so called “antiquated rules of living” which happen to be the rules that have been advanced by Bible believers in the past. The cause of modern human rights is not the work of the Christian community, least the faithful part of the community, it is the work of a different community with a different standard. A Christian assessment of the advancement of human rights supported by “experts” yet repugnant to divine law is nothing but the dehumanizing of mankind – the tearing up by the roots all of civil society. To the sensible and enlightened in Christ, it is obvious that common sense is currently being undermined by pure irrationality in the public arena where evil is called good and good is called evil. For example, sanctity of life is being replaced by “right to kill oneself” – a rule in opposition to God’s law and the common law. Because of political correctness, which shuts down political debate, nations are tumbling into the darkness and the shadow of tyranny is advancing. The outcome is certain. Already the nations are beginning to wobble under untested innovations and by the mad rush to disqualify the wisdom of the ages. Civilization is balanced upon a Higher Power and when this power is removed the result is cataclysmic. The answer to the falling empires of the world is to restore the first principle of civilization which is to love God with all your heart, soul and strength and we love God by obeying His law.
Religion – Foundation of a Nation

Nations are build upon principles and these principles come from doctrine or religion. The principles of one’s religion establishes a nation. Religion is the strongest thread in the fabric. India is a product of a predominately Hindu culture (80.5%). North Korea is the product of irreligion (64.3%). America, until the 1960s, reflected the principles of Christianity. Jesus says in Matthew 7:17, “…every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.” Which country (North Korea, India or America) would you want to live in? I would choose to live in the America of our Founding Fathers – not in their imperfections but in their perfections, not in their failings but in their successes and not their actions in total but in their ideals of liberty, justice, and equality. The message is that religion not only matters to a nation; it forms the nation. If the sovereign, the people, adopt a new religion in America (Hinduism, Atheism or Islam or Buddha), they also adopt its spirit and principles. If the American sovereign, the people, by blindness or arrogance, throw away their Christian heritage, they lose its spirit of liberty, freedom, moral decency, and equality that America represented and continues to expand against the spirit of prejudice. If they adopt scientific atheism, then America becomes communist China or Soviet Union with its despotism. If they adopt Hinduism, then America becomes India with its false worship. If they adopted Islam, we become Iran or Egypt with its hatred of Israel. This is the consequence of religion.

To derogate a religion as existing within four walls of a building is a major deception on the minds of men. To say that religion is the concern of the individual only and not the concern of the entire community is to turn a blind eye to American history and to ignore a primary republican principle of self government. It is religion that determines our spirit and character; it shapes our culture, our government and our private institutions. That is way the Colonial founding fathers incorporated the Christian religion into their institutions both public and private.
Massachusetts Constitution 1780: “As the happiness of a people, and the good order and preservation of civil government, essentially depend upon piety, religion and morality.”
To lose the influence of Christianity in to loosen a primary thread in the American fabric resulting in the destruction of those stable and benevolent institutions Christianity created. Upon the demise of Christian influence, our prosperity and decency as a nation will deteriorate in proportion as we as nation replace holy living stones forged by the gospel of Jesus Christ with corrupted building blocks corrupted by foreign influence.
Daniel Webster’s warning to America, “If religious books (bible) are not widely circulated among the masses in this country, I do not know what is going to become of us as a nation. If truth be not diffused, error will be; If God and His Word are not known and received, the devil and his works will gain the ascendancy. If the evangelical volume does not reach every hamlet, the pages of a corrupt and licentious literature will; If the power of the Gospel is not felt throughout the length and breadth of the land, anarchy and misrule, degradation and misery, corruption and darkness will reign without mitigation or end.”
